Our holiday to visit the family...

This last week, we've been on holidays for a quick visit to see 'the cousins'. It's always extremely exciting to see the family again. We stayed at my parents new house which was really relaxing.
The cousins also have a new house so the kids got to play heaps in their amazing BIG backyard... I on the other hand got to spend a little time with my big sis.
Thanks for a great stay everyone... we had a ball...

More of my favourites from 2007

Here's a few more favourites from last year...

It's been BIG days!!

I keep saying to myself... "Oh, I should post the remainder of my fav. shots from 2007" but the last couple of days have been a little more hectic than I'd hope for on my holidays... I'll get back to those favourites sometime soon but until then...

Yesterday our youngest boy cut his head open on his brother's glass louvers... "Ouch!!" There was the usual screaming and we thought for sure the boys have had another 'misunderstanding' while playing STAR WARS... until... little P. came out dripping with 'red drops' as he described it. To cut a long story short, the red drops stopped after many cuddles, some cold wet washers and a few drinks of icy cold water, he was the bravest little man getting his three stitches in the back of his head withOUT a local anaesthetic, he's now officially his father's hero and he came home from town wearing the cutest Storm Trooper dress up.... too gorgeous!!

In the afternoon I managed to get a few snaps of the boys...

Hard to pick hey? I love this story board.... I love the green grass... I love the pink with the green (my favourite colour combination for girly shots). I had another shot in this storyboard but took it out... it looked so much better with just the two shots... I can't wait to give these photos to K. and J. I hope you enjoy them all as much as I have enjoyed putting them together. xx

We had such a perfect afternoon over a friend's place today... I've got to take my hat off to my gorgeous little man for hooking us up with such beautiful people through his little girlfriend... they're great mates...

Anyway, we went over her place this afternoon... it wasn't hard to notice the theme of Pink... that's pink for the bottle of bubbly drank (wasn't that fun?)... pink for little P's dress... pink for the dolly... pink for the lipstick (or was that purple?) and pink for the gorgeous raincoat that came out when the rain started...

P was in the mood to get her photo taken and believe it or not I was in the mood to take them... I promised a disk of all the photos taken this afternoon but wanted to show them IMMEDIATELY... thanks for a fantastic afternoon guys... we had a ball... I'll get that disk to you v. soon... These are for you so enjoy xx

The bathroom's a great spot isn't it?

My boys and I were in the bathroom this morning getting organised for the day when I looked down at what they were wearing and decided to put 'getting organised' on hold while we took some photos... it was just too tempting. H. (the one in red) really loved the idea while P. just wanted a new dress up. A bit of fun and too gorgeous. Enjoy xx

I was just having a look at my flickr account and come across this image I took a few years ago. When I first took this image I was tempted to delete it straight away and for some reason didn't. It must have been a sixth sense as it's become one of my all time favourites. It's obviously not the most classic portrait but one that I feel gives off a special feeling (and isn't that was photographs are all about). It's a shot I consider to be full of emotion. Every time I look at this shot it takes me straight back to the day... I remember the day so vividly. It was no more special than any other day, just the boys and their mum down the beach, swimming in the salt water but I remember this one well Enjoy xx

Well, this is the second part of my favs from 2007 - it adds to a post from yesterday. There's some extra special shots in this lot... I just love the family shots (just cause I love seeing happy families together... there's one of my precious four year old who has given a look like no other (he does this on a daily basis by the way)... and there's one of my best mates little girl.. just like P. her little D. is like a 'pop gun in a bubble blower' (she takes you by surprise alot, it's always heaps of fun and when she does it makes you feel like floating into the sky with the sun reflecting colours through you)... enjoy xx

2008 is a year I want my photography to shine...my main reason for this blog...

My first posting and I thought I'd start with a personal favourite. This picture was taken in late 2007 of my boy when he was playing in his brother's bedroom. He's a cute kid and enjoys hamming it up for the camera...when he's in the mood (At the time this shot was taken..he was in the mood). My photographic work is all about capturing emotion. This blog is designed to showcase my work as it grows and refines. It's a place clients can come to see what I'm on about and a place friends and family can see what I'm up to.

I love this shot for many reasons...it's of one of my two favourite boys, his eyes are a focal point and the skin tone is just right. I'll add to this blog as I take photos on a daily basis....enjoy xx
